Per the Local Authorities Election Act, candidates intending to run for the 2025 election for the position of Mayor or Municipal Councillor must register their notice of intent with the Election Office before accepting campaign contributions or incurring campaign expenses.

To register, interested candidates may complete the Notice of Intent to Run form and submit it by email to elections@yhcounty.ca. Alternatively, you may email the Returning Officer with the required information.
Please note: Candidates that register their Notice of Intent to Run are not exempt from submitting their official nomination forms with required signatories and $100 fee which will be accepted beginning January 1, 2025 through to Nomination Day on September 22, 2025.
